Above Below
a performance set within the world and work of James Surls: Nightshade and Red Bone. Movement within this performance drew inspiration from nature, specifically skeletal structures of various land and water creatures, forms of trees and plants, and the movement qualities associated with each.

Meaning in Movement
As part of the Storytelling series at Kaneko, tbd. dance collective engaged the audience in an evening’s length exploration of how movement conveys meaning. The artists’ performance deconstructed the creative process of storytelling through dance using structured improvisation, site-specific choreography, and emotional representation through movement. The evening included a screening of a short film directed by Nik Fackler entitled One Day, One Month, One Year with choreography by Steph Huettner and Kat Fackler. The film is a movement-based narrative chronicling the periods of time in a person’s life after a relationship has ended.

dreamlab
a performance exploring concepts and imagery found within the dreams of various tbd. dancers. Dream concepts were explored visually utilizing a 25 ft diameter parachute and headlamps. to create an ethereal experience for the audience that felt similar a lucid dream.
